How to use screen shield protection for confidential documents?
When sharing sensitive documents, it's crucial to protect confidential information from unauthorized viewing. Papermark's Screen Shield feature provides an innovative solution by allowing you to control exactly how much of your document is visible to viewers at any time.
What is Screen Shield?
Screen Shield is a privacy feature available to Business plan users that adds two adjustable black shields to the top and bottom of your document viewer, leaving only a controlled viewing area in the middle. This helps prevent shoulder surfing and protects sensitive information when documents are viewed in public spaces.
How to Enable Screen Shield
Step 1: Create or Edit a Link
Navigate to your document's sharing settings
Look for the "Enable Screen Shield" option in the link settings
Toggle the switch to enable Screen Shield protection
Step 2: Configure Visible Area
Once enabled, you can choose the amount of content visible to viewers:
20% - Most Restrictive (maximum privacy)
35% - Recommended (default setting)
50% - Most Permissive (balanced visibility)
