Want to make your Papermark links even more professional? Adding a custom domain to your links for sharing documents or data rooms boosts your branding and makes your shared documents stand out.
First off, you'll need a custom domain. This could be something like "docs.yourcompany.com." If you don't already own a domain, you can purchase one from domain registrars like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or others.
If you have a website on your own domain, for sharing documents or data room you can use subdomain like:
"docs.yourcompany.com"
"documents.yourcompany.com"
"dataroom.yourcompany.com"
"deck.yourcompany.com"
Once you have your domain, go to Papermark and log into your account. Head over to your dashboard where all your magic happens.
Find the document link you want to customize. There should be a settings option for each link—this is where you can make all sorts of changes to how your link behaves and looks.
Inside your link settings, look for an option labeled "Domain". This is where you'll be adding your unique domain.
Type in the custom domain you want to use for this particular link. Remember, it has to be a domain you own and have control over.
For security reasons, Papermark will need to verify that you own the domain you're trying to use. This involves adding a DNS record to your domain through your domain registrar's dashboard. Papermark will provide the specific details needed for verification.
You will be redirected to the Settings for domain configurations
After verification, you can connect domain easily to every new link inlcuding data rooms links.
Now that your custom domain is set up and verified, you're ready to share your Papermark link. With your custom domain, your links will look more professional and branded to your organization.
